Explore coastal artwork by Paul Bursnall in Cornwall
With its jostling fishing boats, ports, and quaysides, the Cornish coastline is an eternal spectacle of colour. Since 2007, I've created more than 2000 original acrylic paintings and many capture the energy of Cornwall with strong Naïve influence. Explore Bursnall Art and the latest coastal artwork of lighthouses, mixed media collages, ports, quaysides, and more painted in my Falmouth studio.
Quayside and port paintings
The quaysides and shipping ports in Cornwall have long since been a focal point for my artwork. The vibrant rowboats and fishing boats translate perfectly onto canvas, with the bold colours emphasised by the distinct Naïve art style.
Mixed media
Using acrylics, old comics, and magazine cuttings, each mixed media piece is produced on Loxley box canvas. All artwork wraps around the edge of the canvas — removing the need for a frame. The collection provides a spirited exploration of cityscapes through a Naïve art lens and has proved popular among UK art galleries, art collectors, and people across the United Kingdom.
Lighthouse paintings
Do you share my fondness for the Cornish coastline? This collection of original acrylic paintings is inspired by the lighthouses and rowboats that adorn the harbours of Cornwall. Each acrylic painting makes use of bold nautical colours and the thick black linework synonymous with the Naïve art movement. Beyond my latest collection, I also welcome commissioned artwork enquiries — the perfect option for ensuring your original acrylic painting complements your decor.
Cityscape paintings
In your search for cityscape paintings, Bursnall Art offers something a little different. Rather than urban skylines of imposing architecture, my cityscape paintings are laden with whimsical houses and rooftops in a rainbow of colours. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind acrylic painting on box canvas with ink detailing.
